Position Summary: 
The Senior FAV/LAV Armor Vehicle Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Fully Armored Vehicles, Light Armored Vehicles, and MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles on our client's task order.

Essential Functions:
Maintain (preventive and corrective maintenance) of assigned fully armored vehicles (FAV), light armored vehicles (LAV), and Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles
Establish and implement maintenance plans
Carry out repairs to FAV/LAV/MRAP vehicles
Maintain records of all maintenance
Ensure all necessary replacement parts, equipment and fluids are accounted for
Ensure proper disposal of all waste, damage or defective parts
Work closely with Administrative and Logistics Support Specialists to ensure adequate inventory

Non-Essential Functions:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client


Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise maintenance personnel.

Job Requirements
Crucial Requirements and Abilities:

The contract requires you to be a U.S. Citizen - must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
One (1) year of overseas experience performing as FAV/LAV/MRAP technician
Three (3) years' experience in maintenance of FAV/LAV/MRAP vehicles with at least one year of management experience
ASE / factory-certified) for the equipment/system or vehicle assigned. Minimum of three certifications listed below:
Engine Repair
Automatic Trans/Transaxle
Manual Drive Train and Axles
Suspension and Steering
Brakes
Electrical/Electrical Systems o Heating and Air Conditioning or Engine Performance
English language proficiency (minimum Level III)
Obtain and maintain weapons qualification
Must successfully pass all required courses specified by the client

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven leadership skills and project management skills
Ability to establish, maintain and enforce operational standards
Demonstrated effective communications skills including strong written and oral presentation skills
Demonstrated technical, automotive and mechanical competency
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability and willingness to work in hostile and conflict environment
Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility

Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
