LTP01 – Logistics Trainer / Supply Specialist
Description
Provide the necessary training and skills to Afghan logistics personnel to enable them to successfully operate independently and without the support of U.S. trainers and military.
Required Hours
Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities
Provide training in the following logistics tasks: advising leadership on logistics matters that affect the accomplishment of the unit�s missions; executing logistic policies; monitoring critical classes of supplies and inventories; monitoring local procurement and allocation of facilities and logistics resources; monitoring transportation movement within the designated region; assessing logistics capabilities and limitations of the unit; maintaining Class VII Property Book management and oversight and coordinating maintenance and recovery operations; identifying logistics requirements for contracting and requesting contracts; responsibility for oversight, management, and execution of material accountability at the assigned unit. Work will be performed at the local/village locations, and at regional supply facilities across Afghanistan.
Required Qualifications
�Must have been a military E6 or higher in US military supply operations and a US Army MOS equal to 92 series. �Deployments for OIF or OEF. �Proficiency with MS Office applications �Possess excellent Interpersonal and People Skills, including interaction with Afghan nationals. �Possess excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills �Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that they could be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government �Must be willing to work in potentially hostile areas �Must be willing to deploy and live on forward operating bases under austere conditions without regular U.S. PX and Commissary facilities �Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothing and equipment as required. �Must be a United States citizen that has proof of citizenship and U.S. passport or U.S. Military ID. �Prefer battalion level logistical experience �Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers

High School Diploma and 8 years related work experience
