Job Summary
The Armory Supervisor is responsible for maintenance, repair, and inventory of all weapons, ammunition, and other sensitive items for assigned program. Conducts weapon, ammunition, and designed sensitive items issue and turn-in following strict armory control and accountability procedures IAW Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Technical Program Support Office (TPSO), Regional Security Office (RSO), military requirements and conducts daily end of shift weapon and ammunition inventories.

- Supervises and controls the issue, receipt and accountability of all weapons, ammunition and sensitive equipment for assigned personnel.
- Performs depot level repairs as necessary.
- Primary inspector of all incoming and outgoing weapons and ammunition, serviceability checks and determination of repair/salvage or disposition of unserviceable weapons and equipment.
- Supervises all data input of all issuing and receiving of weapons documentation and filing of hard copy hand receipts.
- Coordinates with the Property Book Officer on weapons accountability and serviceability.
- Maintains accountability of all weapons repair parts and re-orders when necessary.
- Ensures adequate weapon cleaning kits and associated supplies are on hand or on order.
- Conducts monthly sensitive items inventory to insure 100% accountability.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
- Knowledgeable on International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITARs).
- Skilled in small arms inspection and repair of various weapons and firearms, to include M4, M9, AK47, etc.
- Knowledgeable on small arms ammunition to determine caliber and condition (serviceable/unserviceable).
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must have knowledge on DD1149 Weapon/Equipment transfers.
- Must have Factory Armorer Certifications; crew served weapons certifications preferred.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
- Certified Armorer with minimum of two (2) years’ work experience as a certified armorer.
- Operated in an arms room supporting 100-plus personnel.
- High School diploma.
- Two (2) years of military or civilian law enforcement experience in training environment.
- Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
- Must meet all physical, medical and other requirements for overseas deployment in accordance with the assigned programs regulations.
- Must possess a fitness level appropriate to performing work in a field environment and current medical exam completed within the past 12 months.
- Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions
- Travel to and between CONUS and OCONUS locations is required
Candidate must be able to pass both weapons qualifications and physical fitness course: The minimum standards are:
- Endurance Run completed in 2:30 minutes (two minutes and thirty seconds)
- Obstacle Course completed in 2:00 (two minutes)
- M-4 Rifle qualification scoring of a minimum of 240 points on the approved DSS qualification course
- M-9 Pistol qualification scoring of a minimum of 400 points on the approved DSS qualification course
