General Dynamics Information Technology is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and maintenance and/or repair activities.
Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements. Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

3-5 years of related inventory management experience.

Responsible for regional stock-leveling and positioning of customer spares and repair/replacement operations. Maintains system configuration, required markings, and Item Unique Identification plan. Coordinates with system project offices for part substitution. Ensures calculation of quantity on hand, control shelf life for limited items, stock rotation, repair status, and monthly inventory reconciliations are maintained. Prepares and issues part float block of equipment for units participating in deployments and exercises. Prepares, disseminates, archive Return Material Authorizations, Purchase Orders, DD-1149 transfers. Maintains facility storage to meet government physical security requirements IAW MCO P5530.14. Prepares, packs, and ships parts worldwide to support Marine Corps operations. Utilizes approved GDIT packing, handling, shipping, and transportation policies and procedures. Maintains all warranty information and warranty matrix as provided by the government. Maintains library database of all relevant system documentation i.e. field bulletins, fielding plans, supply instructions, critical listings, etc. Requires Hazardous Duty and Assignment to a Crisis Zone Agreement and be physically qualified for contingency deployments.
