Job Summary
AECOM is currently supporting the USAF/USMC in ongoing efforts in the state of Kuwait. This is an AFCAP task order to provide services at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait. The project is a new requirement at Al Jaber AB where AECOM manages an Installation Services BOS Task Order. Services provided under this Task Order include MWR (a full spectrum of recreational activities); food service and associate warehousing and equipment maintenance; pool and lifeguard services; LRC, learning resources center; two fitness centers with a full range of programs and equipment maintenance; housekeeping/janitorial services for the base; water delivery and distribution; small equipment maintenance; and linen exchange operations.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Providing hazardous waste maintenance, clean up, and removal duties
Ordering, maintaining, and storing all necessary equipment and chemicals
Performing preventative and corrective pest control maintenance duties
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
3+ years of relative experience performing as a Hazardous Waste Technician and/or Pest Management
Must be familiar with and ensure DoD competency requirements for all pest management duties
Must possess, at minimum, a Secret Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen andpossess, or be able to obtain, a valid U.S. passport
Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid U.S. Commercial Driver’s License
Able to read, speak, and write fluently in the English language
Meet all host nation employment standards and U.S. military operational security requirements
Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and medical screen
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working and living in austere conditions, supporting military base operations
