Responsibilities & Duties :
The ICITAP Project Office in Kyiv, Ukraine is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with the Ukrainian Government to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.
The Project Office currently maintains a staff of nearly 40 persons overseeing the conversion of the former Soviet militia in to the new Ukrainian national police. Over the next year the project team will primarily be focused on standing up patrol departments in most of the country’s major cities.
The Kyiv Project Office requires a Sr. Ops Specialist that will oversee personnel, finances, and the administration of program activities in Ukraine.
The Sr. Ops Specialist will be responsible for overseeing corporate procurement and the office’s local purchases.
The Sr. Ops Specialist will be based in Kyiv, but travel to regional locations as required by project activities.
This position is embedded full time in country MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 4 years’ experience in public administration or project support position.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Ability to take lead on projects and follow through with them.
Demonstrated experience working in overseas missions, budgets, and with long hours to achieve mission success.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Past experience in overseas project management is highly desired
Russian or Ukrainian language skills is highly desired
Past experience in government or law enforcement is highly desired
