About the Business Line Water
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
Job Summary
Preparation of technical specifications and bill of quantities
Preparation of tender documents and tendering assistance
Construction supervision; engagement and supervision of sub-consultants as necessary
Supervise and lead all aspects of civil engineering works (roads and earthworks, hydrology and drainage, water and wastewater design)
Perform fieldwork activities including liaising with various government officials or representatives, and corporate representatives
Write, consolidate and review technical reports of projects and studies; review of completed engineering work to ensure compliance with DPWH and AASHTO guidelines
Play an active role in preparing compelling proposals
Provide technical inputs for Transportation and Urban Development projects. Provide accurate and professionally responsible outputs on program and on budget
Participate in local and overseas project funded by lending agencies
Conduct business development activities. Assist in establishing a client base in the local market; maintain harmonious client relationships at the project and local market level
Supervise junior engineers in terms of work allocation, training, and problem resolution; performance evaluation and recommendations for personnel actions and improvements to increase efficiency and productivity of project team; motivation of employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
Ensure the relevant QA procedures are followed
Perform job-related miscellaneous duties that may be assigned
Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures
Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior .
Minimum Requirements
Degree required, preferably in Civil Engineering or related field.
Hands on experience of using softwares such as Civil 3D, AutoCad, MX Roads; high level of computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Knowledgeable with AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transport Officials), and DPWH Design Guidelines
Analytical skills; ability to identify problems and propose solutions
Excellent communication skills; technical writing and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to synergize, find opportunity and cooperate with the members of other groups
Results-oriented and client-focused
Self-motivated with high personal drive for achieving targets and business goals .
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Civil Engineer
Minimum 10 years of technical design experience in all aspects of civil engineering works (roads and earthworks, hydrology and drainage, water and wastewater design).
