Responsibilities:
The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the following tasks in support of this project:
The Logistics Supervisor will report directly to the Deputy Program Manager (DPM).
- Management of support activities for the SG Quarterly Trainings to include procurement management and assisting the Justice Advisors with logistical planning for scheduled trainings (purchasing training materials and coordinating with vendors);
- Support to the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) Re-Certification and Police Services Unit (PSU) classes as well as overseeing the coordination of support to the ERU generator;
- Distribution of all uniform and equipment items to individual ERU and PSU officers and documenting the distribution via hand receipt;
- Daily monitoring by the Logistics Supervisor to ensure operability;
- Act as the main point of contact for the subcontracted vendor as well as ERU personnel at the ERU compound regarding the generator.
- Actively monitor the fuel levels of the generator and order additional deliveries as required. For every fuel delivery received, the Logistics Supervisor will be present to ensure the amount delivered is the amount charged.
The Logistics Supervisor will report directly to the Deputy Program Manager (DPM).
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to possess/maintain MRPT certification
- A Bachelor Degree in logistics, business, accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum two years of experience in a developing country environment
- Possess demonstrated knowledge of the principles and methodologies of logistical support, and associated standardized business processes including project assessment and evaluation
- Possess the ability to assist, motivate, and train counterparts in the development of standardized policies
- Supervisory experience including coaching, training and motivating a team
- Ability to build and maintain key relationships in a culturally diverse environment and negotiate the resolution of conflicting views to enable project implementation
- Must be able to communicate in English with accuracy and fluency in order to participate fully and effectively in conversations on a variety of topics in formal and informal settings from both concrete and abstract perspectives
- Must be able to discuss their interests and special fields of competence, explain complex matters in detail, and provide lengthy and coherent narrations, all with ease, fluency, and accuracy.
- A working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- In possession of a current and valid driving license for at least one year
