Description:
Alutiiq Pacific, LLC is seeking a Generator Directed Maintenance Technician to provide training and limited preventive maintenance and repair of generator systems for various Department of State Facilities overseas.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid journeyman electric license/certification at a state level; AND hold a valid journeyman mechanic license/certification at a state level; and have a minimum of five (5) years practical experience (to have been completed within the last 8 years) after license issuance in the rehabilitation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical generating and power transfer equipment; and have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a generator or power systems instructor. This experience should demonstrate the ability to develop lesson plans, organize instructional materials, conduct a formal classroom training lectures and provide expert hands-on training in a variety of generator system applications.
OR
Be a graduate of the state approved/accredited or military program that provides formal training electrical generating power transfer equipment and diesel engines; and have five (5) years’ experience (to have been completed within the last 8 years) in rehabilitation troubleshooting maintenance and repair of electrical generating and power transfer equipment; and have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a generator or power systems instructor. This experience should demonstrate the ability to develop lesson plans, organize instructional materials, conduct a formal classroom training lectures and provide expert hands-on training in a variety of generator system applications.
Must hold or be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Must be able to travel overseas to non-hazardous and hazardous locations
Work requires extensive travel, regular lifting, bending, working from ladders, and extended work hours
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma
Position requires background check and subject to drug testing.
