Requirements:
Experience operating as a Senior Staff member, or MWD Program Manager, or MWD kennel master for DOD installation, or forward deployed area of operation and knowledgeable of USAF Special Forces (SF) expeditionary and combat skills operations. 7-10 years of MWD experience.
• Graduate of DOD approved MWD Handler and MWD Trainer/Kennel Master course
• Prior experience as an MWD Trainer.
• Experience with the Air Force training processes, programs and requirements.
• Possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook) and database systems.
• Extensive SF functional experience and judgment to plan, accomplish and evaluate effectiveness of goals.
• Experience with SF training policy, MWD concepts, SF Force Protection missions, functions, and structure, to include heavy weapons, small team and individual tactics, combat troop movements, MOUT and C-IED operations and maintenance.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communications and be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and editing communications, briefing materials, and other correspondence to DoD general officer-level leadership.
• Serve as a liaison with the HQ AFSFC, Lackland AFB, TX.
• Assess the integration of technology, real world threats, operations and lessons learned into SF RTC MWD training plans. Assess the impact of these changes to the curriculum to include cost and schedule implications.
• Assess other MWD training venues and incorporate any beneficial elements into the USAF SF MWD training program as approved by the SF career field.
• Support and participates in Temporary Duty (TDY) visits to CONUS and OCONUS SF RTC locations as required.
• Ensure updates toMWD lesson plans as required by HQ AFSFC.
• Assist MWD Training Cadre to train MWD handlers and trainers from initial through advanced levels.
