is seeking talented, self-motivated and results-driven
experienced Mechanical Inspectors to provide direct support to
the Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations' Program Dictator
(PD) in N'Djamena, Chad. You will be full-time, on-site, providing
Mechanical engineering services for OBO projects
in a timely, accurate,
and cost effective manner.
About the Job:
- Serves as a Mechanical Inspector. Develops working knowledge of all technical requirements of projects
- Provides Quality Assurance for ongoing construction projects including waste water, water treatment, A/C, plumbing, BAS, reverse osmosis...etc.
- Reviews contractor submittals from a mechanical engineering perspective
- Prepares responses to requests for Information (RFI) for questions related to mechanical engineering
- Evaluates proposed submittal substitutions with mechanical engineering implications; makes recommendations to OBO/PD
- Coordinates the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders
- Reviews and evaluates design calculations and data from mechanical engineering perspective
- Prepares Monthly Progress Report summarizing project status, with emphasis on mechanical engineering
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Director
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience required on construction projects in similar scope and value to the project supported by this Task Order
- A two year Associate of Arts or Associate Technical degree is required
- Must have a current Secret Level security clearance and be able to obtain an Interim Top Secret clearance before deployment
- Medically qualified for overseas deployment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Registration is preferred
- Overseas experience preferred.
