This is a trades’ supervisory position, based at the
Consulate General (CG) Basrah, Iraq and will be associated with the
Operations and Maintenance (O&M;) Section. The selected candidate
will be responsible for assigning and supervising CG Basrah carpentry,
locksmith and painting requirements. This position reports to the CG
Basrah O&M; Manager. The duties and

DUTIES:
- Become proficient in the use and completion of work orders (WO) produced by the Global Maintenance Management System (GMMS) or Work Orders for Windows (WOW)
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of:
- O&M; contract (SAQMMA-12-D-0165)
- Request for Proposal (SAQMMA-12-R-0012-A001)
- C.4.M Carpenter Services
- CG Basrah Ramp-Up Plan (RUP)
- O&M; Plan
- Program Management Plan (PMP)
- Safety Plan
- Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Fire Emergency Plan
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of PAE carpentry services, including:
- Check-in, check-out and Make-Ready procedures for CG Basrah housing
- Furniture repairs
- Painting
- Fire and Emergency Action Plans
- Key tracking procedures
- Service Desk and work orders
- Logistics and warehousing procedures
- Vehicle operations and maintenance procedures
- Develop and maintain locksmith assignments, painting and equipment inventories in the GMMS or on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on scheduled, unscheduled and emergency carpentry WO for the O&M; Manager
- Prepare additional reports and perform additional duties as assigned by the O&M; Manager
- The Lead Carpenter must have a minimum of five years compatible carpentry and supervisory experience, at a Journeyman level, in an overseas environment
- Experience performing quality painting and repair or replacement of windows, doors, locks, wood furniture and carpentry-related light construction work
- Ability to work effectively with multi-national staff and demanding customers
- Education: A high school diploma (or GED) and a vocational diploma in carpentry or completion of an Apprentice program with a Journeyman certificate is required
- Security Vetting: Ability to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract
- Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills
- Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required for this position
- Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination
- Relevant overseas contract experience
- Experience working with PAE
- Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility
- Experience providing excellent customer services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
