We are currently seeking a Security Program Chief – Marine Corps Embassy Security Group (MCESG). This is a full time position located aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA.

Position responsibilities:
Provide continuity in Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard (Interagency) security program management, knowledge and experience.
Coordinate the full range of security clearance and classified material management activities occurring between the MCESG and the Department of State.
Serve as the MCESG Security Program Coordinator.
Develop, staff, gain MCESG approval for and coordinate the implementation and training for MCESG security policies, procedures, orders and directives.
Facilitate MCESG security actions related to security clearances, document control, classification markings, classification reviews and security of classified information.
Manage multi-security level protocols.
Serve as MCESG Assistant Account Coordinator for the Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS) and Investigative Records Repository.
Develop standard operating procedures to ensure that the JPAS database is an accurate representation of MCESG personnel clearances.
Assist the MCESG Security Manager in the development of risk management procedures to ensure compliance with Command Security Program orders and directives.
Interpret directives and coordinate implementation instruction and guidelines.
Interpret, implement and maintain detailed security policies, programs and standard operating procedures in accordance with applicable regulations.
Interface with client and team leads to coordinate assignments and provide quality reviews.
Advise and coordinate the management of reinvestigation requirements, personnel assurance programs and related matters to ensure required actions are taken.
Review security information packages to ensure all forms are included and complete and that fingerprint cards, signed statements and other security information items are in order.
Conduct quality control and quality assurance review of documents.
Review and evaluate security applications submitted to DONCAF for completeness and continuity of activities and requests information to clarify questionable or discrepant information.
Track and monitor status of clearance requests.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
US citizenship.
Secret (S) Clearance.
Knowledge of the overall mission, organization, functions and operation of the US Marine Corps.
Knowledge of the principles, theories, concepts, methods and techniques of personnel security.
Familiarity with the duties for security management related activities that include SCIF security, Document Control, Classification portion markings, and Classification Reviews.
Knowledge of Executive Orders that pertain to security, DONCAF regulations and operating procedures, practices and precedents related to personnel security.
Knowledge of Interagency Program Security and Information Security.
Familiarity with security administrative procedures and document/instruction preparation.
Knowledge of current Marine Corps and Dept of State policies as they relate to the mission, doctrine, functions and organization of the Marine Security Guard program.
Prior uniformed or civilian government service experience in positions requiring increasing levels of responsibility and military operational, procedural and doctrinal knowledge.
Excellent writing, speaking, briefing, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Strong analytical skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude, goal orientation with the ability to get things done.
Ability to think, work and act independently with minimal supervision; adjust to changing client focus and priorities and understand client intent so as to establish work priority.
Experience using Microsoft office software.

Top Secret (TS) Clearance.
