Job Purpose
The successful applicant will be the operations manager for the delivery of protection services and security training to Control Risks clients in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean through the coordination and management of sub-contractors and junior staff members.
The post holder is also a fee-earning consultant with advanced experience and skills who commands substantial revenues through work generation, direct fee earning on more complex tasks, and resource management.
In addition, senior consultants are business developers whose financial contribution to the organisation is greater than what they are able to provide through their own fee earning capabilities alone.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead and service multiple assignments as full case manager responsible for entire project cycle.
Lead and service particularly complex or multi-faceted tasks.
Maintain and nurture a vibrant network of partners/sub-contractors across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
Work closely with consultants in the Americas and around the Group on the delivery of client tasks.
Delegate aspects of assignments to junior team members.
Manage and coordinate clients’ matters and projects.
Commercially manage subcontractors.
Attend meetings with clients and potential clients.
Write proposals and reports for clients and potential clients.
Make presentations to clients.
Achieve client satisfaction.
Develop new client relationships.
Domestic and international travel, as necessary, to serve clients.
Ensure that client invoices are accurate, complete and timely.
Develop new services to meet market demand.
Keep Practice Head regularly advised of sub-practice business activity

Knowledge and Experience
Essential Fluency in English and Spanish languages. Superior English writing skills. Strong interpersonal communications and client facing skills. Basic financial literacy and understanding of business processes. Experience in the delivery and management of close protection tasks. Strong administration skills. Personnel management experience. 3-5 years private sector background in security or business risk consultancy, or minimum 8 years’ experience in armed forces, law enforcement, or intelligence. Preferred Experience of living/working in Latin America. Experience in the design and delivery of adult training.
Qualifications and Specialist Skills
Essential University degree or equivalent. Preferred Completion of an internationally recognised close protection training course. SIA or other internationally recognized Close Protection License. First Aid Instructor qualification. Defensive driving instructor qualification.
