Training Analyst – Training NCO/Master Gunner: Will work as a member of a contract team in support of the Directorate of Training and Doctrine within the Maneuver Center of Excellence to evaluate various alternative blended LVC-G training strategies for training individual marksmanship through squad/platoon live fire proficiency. Duties include: assisting ORSA personnel in developing metrics for evaluating training strategy effectiveness and efficiency; collecting unit historical gunnery/marksmanship data; collecting data on unit individual and collective live fire performance under various alternative strategies; and assisting ORSA personnel in evaluating data and refining metrics. Position may require substantial travel.Must be a graduate of the “Army Basic Instructors Course” (ABIC) within the last 5 years.
Must be a former combat arms Soldier who participated in operational patrols in support of combat maneuvers in the operational area with comprehensive and through knowledge of C-IED, TTPs in OIF or OEF environments.
Working knowlledge of DOD, Joint and Army Training, Training Management, and Training Support practices, policies, procedures, concepts and methodoligies involved in Army training.
Bachelors degree preferred, Assocites degree with appropriate military school(s) certifications required.Required Skills* Must have an Infantry background with demonstrable experience in conducting Advanced Marksmanship Training. (Desired skill: BFV Master Gunner).* Must be PC knowledgeable, experienced with MS Office Suite and highly experienced with MS Excel. (Desired skill: proficiency with MS Access).
* Must have organizational capability to effectively manage time to meet contractual obligations.
* Must have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of audiences, including technical, professional and administrative, at all organizational and hierarchical levels.
* Must be capable of developing and shaping information for decision.Required Experience* Experience as Training NCO/Master Gunner at the Battalion level (Desired: Brigade level).* Experience designing, conducting, and evaluating training for live fire exercises.
* Small Arms Advanced Marksmanship Instructor.
* Experience conducting and evaluating preliminary marksmanship training in EST 2000.
* Experience designing, conducting, and evaluating training scenarios using VBS2.
* Experience with creating, maintaining and evaluating training records.
* Best candidate will have broad experience with all Army TADSS related to marksmanship training.Job
