WFF Job Description:
The SVT Assistant Trainer will conduct classroom and hands-on driver training for the Afghan National Security Forces. Design and administer programs to train all levels of personnel. Develop tests and visual aids. Coordinate class arrangements, conduct training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. If required, may use technical experts to assist in training.
Required Hours:
Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training five (5) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities
Assist in the training of vehicle unit types that may include but are not necessarily limited to Up-Armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) (UAH) systems, M1025, M1151 and M1152, International 7 Ton Cargo, International 7 Ton w/1200 Gallon POD, HBA 201 5000 Gallon Tanker, M915A3 Tractor, M916A3 Tractor, M872A3 Trailer, M871A3 Trailer, M870A3 Trailer, ATLAS 10K Forklift, Caterpillar 10K Forklift, AC-30 Crane 30 Ton, International 7400 Series 6×6 MR30 Wrecker w/complete and serviceable BII, HMMWV (any series), Ford Ranger.
Trainers will be responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel
Responsible for making on-the-scene decisions as to how to execute the curriculum
Along with their local site managers, trainers will be responsible for assessing how well
the ANA students have learned the coursework
Required Qualifications:
Understands the current COIN and cultural environment in AF
Physically able to climb into and out of 7 ton trucks, onto and off of tractor trailers
Active or Interim Secret
Must be able to successfully complete CRC
Must be proficient with MS Office Skills
Excellent Oral, Written and Interpersonal Communication Skills
Good Organizational and Project Management Skills
Willing to work and live in Afghanistan with the potential to be reassigned to other locations in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government
Willing to deploy and live on forward operating bases operated by Afghan National Security Forces under austere conditions
Willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR
Candidate must have been an E7 or higher with at least 3 years experience in US military maintenance operations with a preference to HMMWVmaintenance course certification, generator certifications, and/or communications repair, and a US Army MOS equal to 25, 52, or 63 series.
Experience in training outline development, POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages.
Cultural experience using interpreters
Experience in risk management
Desired Qualifications:
Instructor Trainer Course diploma
CDL Qualified
Experience training and advising foreign military soldiers
Forklift qualified
Fuel handler qualified
Required Education:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompaniedMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
