Job Description
Performs a variety of tasks associated with the preparation of weapons systems for firing programs including performing field service, handling, transporting and preparing ammunition for firing. Place and align measuring devices used in conjunction with firing projectiles. Operates weapons systems, levels weapons and employs manual or mechanical method to set elevation and azimuth. Operate a variety of mobile equipment to facilitate test operations.

Qualifications
Pay Rate: $17.97/HRMandatory Qualifications:

Former Military Candidates:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment, and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
• Must possess a class “C” or higher Commercial Driver’s license with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Must pass hands on test with M1A1 Gunners Quadrant and successfully pass ESD written test.

Civilian Candidates:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment, and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
• Must possess a class “C” or higher Commercial Driver’s license with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Must demonstrate competence in: Basic gunner support tasks such as weapons system field servicing, handling, transporting, and emplacing; Handling, transporting, and preparing fielded ammunition for firing; Placing and aligning measuring devices used in conjunction with firing projectiles; Operating weapon systems, levels weapons, and employs manual or mechanical methods to set elevation and azimuth; and Operating a variety of mobile equipment to facilitate test operations such as farm tractor and forklift up to 10k lbs.
• Must have experience in forklift, vehicle and equipment operation.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.
• Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to kneel and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs unassisted.
• Must be tolerant of frequent weapon firings.

Desired Qualifications:
• Level II Ammunition Certification.
• Experience with Airborne fire control system.
• Be familiar with 2.75 inch rockets and other aviation weapon systems.
• Experience supporting firing missions on Yuma Proving Ground.
• Working Knowledge of electrical systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
