Job Description:
SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) is seeking Law Enforcement Professionals (LEP) (law enforcement generalists, FBI, Border Patrol, Customs/Immigration, Drug Enforcement, local and state law enforcement officers) for the US Army and Marine units deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. LEPs assist the US Army and Marine units by applying law enforcement counter-criminal perspective to the execution of the counter-insurgency operation. LEPs plan, deliver and lead training on street-level counter-gang investigative tactics, techniques and procedures and participate in mounted and dismounted patrols in hostile threat environments within the supported unit’s area of operations to provide immediate feedback and assistance.

Responsibilities:
• Serves as the supported battalion commander’s law enforcement criminal network subject matter expert;
advises and contributes, trains, and mentors
• Coordinates directly with LEP counterparts at higher headquarters and neighboring units to ensure unity of effort and synchronization
• Applies a law enforcement counter-criminal perspective to the execution of counterinsurgency operations relevant to the supported battalion’s area of responsibility in Iraq or Afghanistan
• Plans, delivers, and leads training on street-level counter-gang investigative tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) in a war fighting environment, including informant source development, tactical questioning and debriefing techniques, site exploitation (crime scene investigation), forensics, and biometric analysis to identify, and take action against criminal network activity
• Contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of battalion-level counter-criminal intelligence and investigative activities, inclusive of the use of software programs and databases, applicable to identifying criminal trends and methods of operation, in order to interdict and suppress networks associated with the sourcing, production, emplacement, and initiation of IEDs
• Strengthens the flow, interpretation, and analysis of criminal activity-related information to/from higher headquarters, down to battalion level and below, and between battalions, in order to enhance access to actionable intelligence
• Establishes a ‘cop-to-cop’ relationship with indigenous police assets (e.g., Iraqi Police or Afghan National Police) in order to strengthen trust, confidence, cooperation, and information sharing between local assets and the supported battalion
• Accompanies mounted and dismounted patrols on street-level operations in hostile threat environments within the supported battalion’s area of operation to instruct and mentor on appropriate law enforcement TTPs, and to provide immediate feedback and assistance
• Participates in tactical questioning and debriefing of suspects and detainees
• Provides assistance to the development of detainee packages by either battalion or indigenous police staff
• Contributes to the introduction into service/employment of law enforcement surveillance sensor systems
Minimum Requirements:
• Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet current eligibility requirements for access to Secret classified information; US citizenship required• Graduate of a certified municipal, state or federal police academy
• 10 years of Law Enforcement experience which includes investigating narcotics violations, terrorist organizations/activities, corruption, violent crimes and/or homicides or commensurate experience in Border Patrol, Customs, Drug Enforcement
• Experience may be a combination of military service, bomb technician experience, forensic certification or expertise and experience utilizing sophisticated investigative techniques
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment:• Personnel will work in harsh and austere locations in Afghanistan
• Ability to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs
• Work environment is often stressful and detail-oriented
