Job Description:
SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) is seeking a Counterinsurgency (COIN) Police/Law Enforcement Advisor to provide reliable and frequent expert advice on matters pertaining to the integration of law enforcement (LE) capabilities into COIN doctrine, operations and, theory. This position will report to the SOSi Program Manager.*Please note that this position is for contingent hire*
Essential Job Duties:
• Interfaces with both international and host nation LE elements to enable relevant analysis and recommendations to our Government Customer on police-related issues at the local/village, district, provincial, and national levels
• Analyses and recommends courses of action including, but not limited to community-based policing, police training, equipment, and manpower
• Synchronizes the nation’s police forces with the military for operational efficiency, and assessment and impact of the counter narcotics initiatives currently underway in the Afghanistan/Pakistan Area of Operations
Minimum Requirements
• Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet current eligibility requirements for access to Secret classified information; United States citizenship required• Minimum of 10 years experience at senior-level positions with U.S. Federal or State Police agencies, or equivalent coalition partner nation expertise
• Recent and direct experience in training foreign LE forces (in Iraq or Afghanistan), working with Afghan National level police agencies and a firm understanding of U.S. inter-agency and International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) operations and procedures
• Superior communications skills and experience working daily with General Officers or equivalents on operational or administrative elements
• Pashto and/or Dari language skills a plus
