Job Description:
SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) is seeking a Counterinsurgency (COIN) Operations Advisor responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and tracking all operations of the Counterinsurgency Teams, to include training, deployments and movement, and reporting these actions to our Government Customer and staff during daily and weekly operations updates.*Please note that this position is for contingent hire*
Essential Job Duties:
• Under the guidance of our Government Customer or designated military officer, synchronizes the embedding of COIN Advisors with support tactical and operational International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Regional Command headquarters staffs across theater• Ensures that embedded operations are planned and conducted in accordance with command priorities, orders and other applicable guidance
• Performs operational and course of action analysis as required
• Coordinates with the Lead Intelligence Advisor in developing effective targeting, infrastructure development, and other projects in support of COIN operational goals
Minimum Requirements
• Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet current eligibility requirements for access to SCI classified information; United States citizenship required• Master’s degree in intelligence or COIN related field OR a related Bachelor’s degree combined with intelligence training
• Experience equivalent to that of a field grade military officer or senior non-commissioned officer who has served in a brigade level operations officer capacity
• Superior communications skills and experience working daily with General Officers or equivalents on operational or administrative elements
• Extensive experience working in joint military, governmental interagency, and deployed environments; working and supervising personnel in austere and remote conditions
• Dari and/or Pashtu language skills a plus
