Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall management of the sub-contractors in Afghanistan providing CLS operations to the Grand Caravan 208B and aircraft simulators, including maintenance, training and inventory. The Manager of Site Operations, Afghan is the primary point of contact at the site for the USG customer and the Textron Systems Support Solutions Program Management team. This position reports directly to the Senior Program Manager of Support Solutions located in Hunt Valley, MD. This position must interface daily with the USAF and Afghanistan personnel and sub contractors.

Responsibilities:
Organizes/participates in update briefings with USG and Sub-contractors


Advises the Program Management Office of unresolved or developing problems


Aids in scheduling maintenance, and training


Monitor site operations


Provide detailed reports as required


Responsible for tracking program schedule and cost


Coordinates across functional lines within Textron Systems, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Product Support, etc.

Qualifications
Education:

BS/BA, in technical field desired

Position Requirements:
Three years experience in program management or project management, five years desired
Must be experience in Aviation Maintenance Management, and have a working knowledge and understanding of FAA rules and regulations
A background in US Air Force aviation maintenance management is preferred
Experience in working with DoD agencies and foreign military service is required
Ability to obtain a Government security clearance to the Secret level and be physically fit is required
Professional demeanor and ability to work in a team environment required.
Must have the ability to maintain cultural awareness with the Afghan Military
Have the ability to foster respect among individuals that enables good and safe working relationship.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written (proposal quality standard)
Versed in common desktop IT tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc
The position will be located in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Candidate will be subject to austere field living conditions with coalition forces and adhere to Communication Security (COMSEC) rules.
The position requires long work hours to support a high tempo operation under difficult conditions.
