RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Reports directly to the Senior Range Operations Manager; acts as Senior Range Operations Manager when required.
Serves as the SME for a Company-level Operation Spartan Shield STX/FSX/CPX/CALFEX/CONVOY Live Fire Facilitator.
Serves as senior mentor and trainer for an Infantry company for planning, preparation, execution of training.
Facilitates Unified Land Operations (ULO) and Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises and all related training; maintains currency across the ULO.
Prepared to be the SME for Company-level training across ULO.
Knowledgeable on the TC 25-8.
Comprehensive understanding of training management.
Maintains currency across Unified Land Operations (ULO).
Prepared to conduct Task Force-level training across ULO.
Coach and execute in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)
Monitors compliance with ASG-Kuwait Range Control safety standards on all live fire and situational training exercises.
Maintain currency with new and shifting Army and USMC doctrine; familiarize and understand CF doctrine.
Develops and maintains Training Support Packages (TSP) to facilitate units training requirements.
Coach, teach and mentors unit personnel using current U.S. Army doctrine to include various TTPs.
Supervise the execution of the USARCENT collective training POI’s at Udairi Range and Camp Buehring.
Coach, teach and mentors unit personnel on marksmanship and crew served weapons using current U.S. Army doctrine.
Know and understand lane training methodology as well as employ and operate standard and non-standard Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) in support of numerous Situational Training Exercise (STX) lanes.
Develop scenarios for LFX, STX, FTX, FCX, CALFEX and requirements at the Squad, Platoon and Company levels.
Responsible to coach and mentor an Armor company commander with the following:

Principle duties consisting of the key areas of tactical employment, training, administration, personnel management, maintenance, force protection, and sustainment of his company.

Command and control through subordinate leaders.

Employment of a company in order to accomplish its mission according to the battalion commander's intent and concept.

Maneuvering of Company and other assigned elements.

Mission analysis and troop-leading procedures (TLP) and issuance of operation orders for company tactical operations.

Maintaining situational awareness and understanding.

Resourcing the Company, other elements, and requests of battalion support when needed.

Establishment of a company command post (CP); effectively battle-track the situation and status.

Providing a timely and accurate tactical picture to the battalion commander and subordinate units.

Implementation of effective measures for force protection, security, and accountability of forces and systems.

Development of leadership and tactical skills of his platoon leaders.
Provide training support to the company through squad battle drills, platoon battle tasks, company Situational Training Exercises (STX), Company Live Fire Exercises (LFX) to support Company-level ULO.
Directly responsible for all the planning, preparation, and execution of assigned missions.
Directly responsible for all ULO training facilitation by the team.
Supervises the development and execution of a formal training and certification program, to include ULO tasks; maintains currency and validates Training Support Team.
Supervises employee performance appraisal program to ensure employees are receiving accurate feedback on job performance, potential, and retention prospects.
Perform additional duties as prescribed by the Senior Range Operations Manager/Exercise Support Manager.
Knows all weapons systems that are organic of an ABCT.

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires demonstrated work experience as it relates to the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined in the description of the duties.
Former Combat Arms/Operations with a strong tactical background in Unified Land Operations.
Thorough knowledge of current Army doctrine, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
HBCT/CAV background preferred or qualified through like experience as determined by the Site / Exercise Support Manager.
Must have a Secret Clearance.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
May require additional specialized experience and/or previous military service in the fields of IN, FA, AR, EN, SF, or other qualifying like experience as determined by the Site / Exercise Support Manager.
Prefer additional skills / experience in Scout, Mortar, Sniper or Artillery.
Prefer former CPT / CSM or above Army/USMC.
Prior assignment to a maneuver CTC as an Observer/Controller or extensive CTC experience as BLUFOR/OPFOR.
CTC experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of the military decision making process (MDMP).
