Job Description
Schedule/document unit’s range requests into the RFMSS computer system.
Ensures safety standards of all ranges and or training areas in accordance with DA PAM 385-63 & TC 25-8.
Responsible for ensuring the sustainment and maintenance of Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) hardware and software systems to support customer requirements.
Produce a Range Daily Bulletin NLT 1500 hours daily effective for the following day. The Contractor shall distribute the
Range Daily Bulletin in coordination with the COR.
Coordinate with other U.S., Allied, and Host Nation liaison personnel to facilitate range and training area scheduling.
Notify the Range Operations Manager of actual or potential scheduling conflicts.
Advises Branch Manager on all high risk live-fire operations, not in accordance with Army Regulations.
Job Requirements
Must possess or be able to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
Master Gunner certification in M-1 tank or M-2 BFV
RFMSS operator certification/background preferred.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License.
Must be able to maintain USG Network access privilege.
Must pass annual physical IAW CRC standards.
Must be physically capable of lifting 75 pounds a vertical distance of four feet and carrying this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet.
24 hrs/7 days a week, 12 hour shifts, 60 hour work week. Duty hours 0400-1600 hrs/1600-0400.
Must be able to function with an advanced level of English verbal and written language skills, through demonstrated proficiency, testing or both.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Knowledge of safety, management practices, and procedures involving equipment is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA and 3 - 5 yrs of related experience.
Must process strong leadership skills.
High-level organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Range Safety Danger Area Diagrams (SDAD) to ensure safe range operations for both air and ground weapon systems.
Proficient in military map reading, land navigation and radio operations.
Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
Must have a valid license and be able to obtain an SF 46, Military Drivers license.
Ability to effectively articulate information to management.
