Job Summary
The Laundry & Billeting Supervisor oversees all laundry and billeting operations for assigned program site.
Principal Accountabilities

- Provide leadership and direction to oversee all laundry operations, ensuring work is accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, keep necessary records, and write reports.
- Schedule and supervise laundry workers, ensuring employee awareness and compliance with applicable company directives, policies, and procedures. Define and implement training requirements, develop employee skills, and promote continuous improvement.
- Help in laundry process, operate washers and dryers, select soaps and cleaning formulas, mend and distribute articles.
- Ensure machines and laundry area adhere to safety and cleanliness standards, stay in working order, and that maintenance is contacted promptly for repairs.
- Conduct regular customer needs assessments including but not limited to meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement billeting operations at various sites to maximize customer service and value to the customer.
- Supervises a team of employees, subcontractor and/or labor broker personnel. Coordinate activities to oversee adherence to proper maintenance, safety and cleanliness standards.
- Responsible for maintaining vacancy/occupancy rates. Supervise, escort and direct subcontractor employees.
- Ensure the proper inventory of supplies for living quarters and cleaning are maintained.
- Work with operations to ensure service orders for living quarters are completed in a timely manner.
- Work customer service desk providing friendly, professional service to the customer.

Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of laundry process, formulas, and detergents. Ability to use laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility.
- Possess knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Working knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote cost effective billeting arrangements for both the customer and the internal client.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PC-based business applications, including billet management programs or hotel management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
- Minimum five (5) years related work experience with at least two (2) years in laundry services and one (1) year in a supervisory role
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
- Able to move loads up to 100 pounds in carts or slings, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and stand for three hours at a time.
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
