Job Description
Firefighter / Driver Operator
Summary: Controls and extinguishes fires under the supervision of a Crew Chief or Station Captain. May drive apparatus during emergency and non-emergency situations. May operate fire pumps, foam generators, boom and ground sweep nozzles and similar equipment. Uses a variety of special protective gear in situations
where poisonous gases, radioactive materials and hazardous biological products may be present. Ensures all equipment is in a constant state of readiness.Qualifications: DOD, IFSAC, or ProBoard – Firefighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Awareness & Operations, Driver/Operator Pumper, Mobile Water and ARFF, and Telecommunicator I & II (preferred). Valid Drivers License, AMA CPR card, First Aid/First Responder (minimum), and 3 years experience (minimum).
