Job Description
Basic Electronics Maintenance Training (BEMT) teaches 18 MOSs. We are seeking instructor candidates with designation in any of the following MOS:
· 94M – Radar Systems Repairer -PRIMARY CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH
CERTIFICATION IN THIS MOS
· 94S – Patriot System Repairer – PRIMARY CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH CERTIFICATION IN THIS MOS
· 94H – TMDE Repairer
· 94A – Land Combat Missile Systems Repairer
· 94P – HIMARS/MLRS Repairer
· 94T – Avenger Repairer
· 94Y – IFTE Repairer
· 91K – Tank Turret Mechanic
· 91G – Fire Control Systems Repairer/2171 – USMC Electro-Optical Repairer

Duties
We are seeking qualified instructors who will be responsible for conducting the Advanced Individual Training, (AIT) course. Training can be classroom training and/or hands-on performance oriented training, and simulation/virtual training Additionally, the instructor will assist in updating student and Instructor records; student counseling and administrative duties in support of the ODS.

Instructors provide platform and hands on training for Basic Electronics Maintenance Training (BEMT). Training for basic and advanced electronics and soldering will use the NIDA130 E Basic Electronics Maintenance Trainer, Computer-assisted Basic Electronics Training (CBET) courseware and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Instructors are key positions and Contractor Qualification Verification Forms are required prior to starting work under the terms of this contract.

Responsibilites:
Instructors shall conduct classroom/laboratory basic and advanced electronics instruction using the NIDA 130 E Basic Electronics Maintenance Trainer, CBET, LMS, and TMDE. Specific subjects to be taught include, but are not limited to the Theory, Application, and Troubleshooting of: Direct and Alternating Current Circuits, Transistors and Solid-State Devices, Computer Technology, Digital Circuits, Microprocessors, and Microwave and Radar Circuits. In addition, Instructors will provide instruction on the Theory and Hands-On Application of Soldering Techniques, Wire Wrap Procedures, Wire and Connector Troubleshooting, and Cable Connector Repair. Instructors are expected to be able to teach all lessons within their assigned section.

Instructors will administer and grade written performance tests; administer computer-based tests; administer and grade hands-on performance tests; provide remedial training for students requiring additional assistance additional instruction in order to perform student objectives to standard; reinforce the Army Values and Contemporary Operating Environment Variables along with standard academic instruction.

Instructors will review outdated training materials and lesson plans within the respective course with AETD-BEMT, based on lessons learned and new training requirements mandated by TRADOC.

Instructors will prepare classroom or training area for training. Includes ensuring sufficient amount of training aids and equipment is available and serviceable, and the POI-specific systems are turned on and operational. Instructors will ensure all Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) is present, in sufficient quantities to conduct training, and operational.

Instructors will ensure all Basic Electronics Maintenance Trainers (NIDA 130E) and required experiment cards are present, in sufficient quantities to conduct training, and operational. All deficiencies will be reported to the Division Chief or NCOIC.

Instructors will conduct daily composite risk assessment and annotate risks in the classroom; monitor student performance to ensure steps are taken to mitigate any residual risks that may be present; and monitor expendable items in classrooms and laboratories. All deficiencies must be reported to the Division Chief or Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC).

Additionally, instructors will conduct academic counseling and complete counseling record; perform supervisory support for each student; input student data into the Learning Management System; and input student grades and annotate remedial training into Student Record as required.

Civilian Education:
Must Possess at least an Associate’s degree in electronics, a form of technical certification, and/or at least 4 years experience in an electronics field (basic electronics).

Military Education:
Instructors must successfully complete the Army Basic Instructor/Writer Course (ABIC) and attend the Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) prior to being assigned as an instructor. Instructors must meet training, technical and tactical certification of course content, and document experience level requirements as defined in the Course Management Plan of the course they are contracted to deliver.

MILITARY OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Instructors must possess specific experience in basic electronics. Instructors must also be capable of teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for vocational or military training programs. Instructor shall review outdated training materials and lesson plans within the courses in BEMT based on lessons learned and new training requirements mandated by TRADOC.

SPECIAL SKILLS
Instructors must be knowledgeable of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding MOS-specific training, have superior written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work with minimum guidance.

Instructors must be proficient with MS office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and ensure ability to access all required training tools.

Must have a basic knowledge of soldering.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
All instructors shall be able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs.), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion.

REQUIRED TRAINING
All contractor employees requiring access to Army installations, facilities and controlled access areas shall complete AT Level I awareness training within 25 calendar days after contract start date or effective date of incorporation of this requirement into the contract, whichever is applicable. All employees will be briefed on the local iWATCH program (training standards provided by the requiring activity Anti Terrorism Office ATO). This training shall be completed within 25 calendar days of contract award and within 25 calendar days of new employees commencing performance.

All contractor employees with access to a government info system must be registered in the ATCTS (Army Training Certification Tracking System) at commencement of services, and must successfully complete the DOD Information Assurance Awareness prior to access to the information systems and then annually thereafter. 100% of all contractor personnel shall complete OPSEC Awareness Training annually. All contractor employees must complete the DoD IA awareness training before issuance of network access and annually thereafter. To meet Army requirements, all personnel must complete the training and score 70% or greater on the IA Awareness exam.

SECURITY CLEARANCES
Access to Ft Lee LAN requires a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) IAW AR 25-2, Information Assurance training, and Memo, DA G2 dated Aug 08.
