Field Engineers (OCONUS travel)

Job Description:
**URGENT and IMMEDIATE NEED** for several Field Engineers (OCONUS travel required)
Cleared Connections has an urgent and immediate need to fill several Field Engineers with active Top Secret, SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance and ability to travel 60% of the time overseas.
Job Requirements:
Individuals will provide intermediate level on-site technical support for customer/company network systems. Perform non-routine installation and/or maintenance assignments. Tests, locates, repairs and troubleshoots network equipment problems.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent 2 years of field installation experience in the area of data communications (includes multiplexers, modems, routers, cryptographic devices (KG 84, KG 94, and KG 194) timing systems (GPS, TDS, and BITS) fiber optic equipment and/or data encryption standard (DES). Excellent working knowledge of current installation and testing practices for multiplexers, modems, packet switches, and routers used within the telecommunications industry. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code Handbook. Knowledge of standards for communications devices (EIA-449, EIA-530, EIA-232, V.32 bis, V.35). Knowledge of DCE and DTE interface standards. Knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) protocols , X.25 and TCP/IP. Knowledge of CSU/DSU's, line drivers, inverse multiplexer and M13, ATM switches (e.g. Marconi and SCREAM (New Equipment Technologies (NET) device). Familiarity with router technologies and operations. Experience with Juniper routers is preferred. Knowledge of how to configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain Promina multiplexers (100s, 200s, 400, and 800). Have the ability to operate the following types of test equipment: Four trace oscilloscope, Bit Error Tester, Protocol Analyzer, Multimeter, Personal Computer based network test applications, Fireberd 6000.

** Current Top Secret, SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance and ability to travel 60% of the time overseas required.
