Duties:
Provide training on the RQ-11B Raven and RQ-20A Puma AE to include, but not limited to:
Instruction to SUAS operators on the actual manipulation of flight controls with reference to flight instruments and visual nose camera display or direct visual contact with the aircraft during take-off and landing.
Safe operation of the Air Vehicle (AV), preflight checks, post flight checks.
Navigation of the AV through controlled airspace to target points of interest from takeoff to landing.
Coordination with the Payload Operator and Training Manager to ensure mission efficiency and success.
Monitoring and correction in all flight situations.
Monitoring all flight instruments.
Troubleshooting all AV and Ground Control Station (GCS) anomalies.
Refresher training for SUAS operators who have gone out of currency
Support SUAS training design, development and updating
Facilitate training in both classroom and Mobile Training Team (MTT) environments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The SUAS Instructor should be highly experienced as an SUAS Operator.
1+ years experience as an RQ-11B Raven and / or RQ-20A Puma SUAS operator and or instructor
Experience performing classroom training and hands-on flight training
Maintain his/her individual currency and evaluation requirements to sustain SUAS Operator and SUAS Instructor designations
Have strong Microsoft Windows computer skills
Must be able to be granted a SECRET clearance
Must be a US citizen
Individual must be able to provide a completed individual instructor flight packet to include the following forms: DD forms 1821; Crewmember resume; DD Forms 2627; FAA Medical Certification (Class 3 or higher)
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Raven B Instructor/Master Trainer qualified
Associates degree or higher with emphasis in aviation
Associates degree or higher with emphasis in computer technology systems and networks
Bachelor’s degree or higher education
Experience developing training courseware
Military Intelligence background.
Military training experience or enlisted E6+
Experience with ScanEagle, TigerShark, Aerosonde, Pioneer, Integrator, Shadow, fire scout, Viking, or other mid-level UAS asset
Education: Have an Associate’s Degree or higher (this requirement can be substituted with work experience on a case by case basis depending on military or industry background).

OCONUS Positions available in support of Army operations worldwide.
