Responsibilities:
Support JPO MRAP/USMC MRAP vehicle licensing and field level maintenance training as the Lead Instructor and member of the MRAP instructor staff at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan.
Serve as the MRAP Instructor Team Lead/Lead Instructor and Jacobs supervisor for the Jacobs MRAP Instructor Support Team.
Serve as the primary POC between the instructor team and the supported government customer.
Coordinate all instructional functions to include class scheduling, instructor assignments, curriculum development/revision (as directed/required), availability of instructional aids and test materials, classroom preparation, instruction, testing, student and instructor evaluations, quality assurance, etc., to meet customer requirements.
Serve as a primary instructor for formal MRAP Cougar CAT I, CAT II, and M-ATV Operator and Field Level Maintenance training to qualify students for USMC licensing.
Provide subject matter expertise/hands-on instructor support for all MRAP platforms under instruction.
Perform/coordinate curriculum development; and instructional/testing material/classroom preparation functions as required.
Perform student evaluations, tutoring, and mentoring functions to facilitate student success as required.
Coordinate instructional requirements with cognizant military authorities as required.
Perform Jacobs first line supervisory functions to include employee duty assignments; prioritization of work, oversight of employee performance/conduct, timekeeping, evaluations, and other such appropriate supervisory responsiblities as assigned.
Travel as required.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
THIS POSITION REQUIRES DEPLOYMENT FOR UP TO ONE YEAR TO AFGHANISTAN. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF FOLLOW ON EMPLOYMENT

Minimum two (2) years college/vocational training in area of specialty plus fourteen (14) years relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of sixteen (16) years. Candidates must possess MRAP University certified instructor credentials to conduct Operator and Field Level Maintenance training for Cougar CAT I, CAT II, and M-ATV vehicles. Former MRAP University MRAP licensing instructors preferred. Requires demonstrated recent successful MRAP vehicle instructor experience and ability to conduct licensing training classes for up to 25 students. Prior recent experience as a lead instructor/supervisor of instructors preferred. Knowledge of USMC/JPO MRAP organization/operating procedures desired. Ability to multi-task, strong communications skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications essential. Ability to meet all company and government deployment qualifications required. Secret clearance/eligibility to obtain and maintain same required.

Physical Requirements:
Must meet all deployment related physical/medical requirements as may be mandated by u.s. government for service in theater of operations.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

Work Environment:

Work Environment This job includes 100% work in a DOS designated hardship/hazardous duty area with 75/25 mix of work in an classroom/office environment and a field environment, respectively. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and clients. Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills (English language). Independent personal transportation to office and to offsite locations is required. Must be able to gain access to the military base as needed.
Generally a classroom/office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including very hot or cold climates and frequent severe windstorms.. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. There are inherent hazards on job and unusual environmental conditions. Work site is located in a war zone in Afghanistan.

Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Routinely requires working hours of up to 10 hours per day 5 days per week and up to a maximum of 10 hours per day on some Saturdays as determined by on site customer representative. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely critical. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
