Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience, or combination of education and demonstrated relevant experience.
Minimum 20 years related construction experience. Minimum ten years of construction experience working in Federal military and construction projects both stateside and overseas including BEQs, administrative buildings, headquarters, SCIF, dining facilities and site utilities/infrastructure. Must have understanding of complex facilities construction methodology. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and be an effective communicator internally and externally. Must have proven ability to lead and execute in areas of project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management while demonstrating sound operations experience. Must have profit and loss responsibility for project including management of field operations, field staff and safety. Must possess good organizational skill and verbal communication skills.
Must possess a valid US drivers license.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of our OCONUS Federal construction and design-build practice. Will manage and supervise military construction and design-build (d-b) projects working closely with our pre-construction team, designers, senior management, subcontractors, safety personnel, and clients. Will set up and direct construction training programs for project staff including EM385 1-1, and OSHA in coordination with URS' corporate safety program. Will be an integral member of our construction practice and will lead our OCONUS Construction practice. Will develop project schedules, assist with project budgeting and bidding, bid/win strategies, manage construction projects to ensure safe, quality and on-time project delivery. Must be able to optimize existing processes as such to continually improve project delivery and customer satisfaction. Will bid documents for subcontractors, work on cost and technical proposals, set up projects and deliver a successful project for both the client and URS.
The OCONUS Construction Program Director will be an integral member of our construction practice.
*This position can be located in the Eastern Region of the U.S. where URS currently has an office.
