Description:
SAIC is seeking a Military Engineer Training Instructor for our location in Washington, DC. The position allows the telecommuting candidate to live anywhere in the Continental US but requires up to 75% travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides training instructor support for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) FFE teams related to contingency operations, stability operations, and national disaster response. Specific responsibilities include:
- Provides instructor support to the USACE Field Force Engineering (FFE) teams.
- Refine the approved critical task list for FFE training.
- Provide Theater Construction Management System (TCMS) instruction to FFE teams.
- Evaluates and analyzes training and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Update and refine current standardized FFE training courseware.
- Develop and revise FFE training modules.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years related experience.
- Must Live within Continental United Stated and be open to up to travel 50-75 percent.
- U.S. Army Military Education Level (MEL)-4 or Civilian Education System equivalent.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Substantial experience in military engineer operations, training management and training instructor support.
- Experienced in preparing and executing instruction for technical military engineer training.
- Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Field Force Engineering (FFE) teams and the Troop Construction Management System (TCMS).
- Instructor must be experienced in development and modification of military Program of Instruction. Instructor must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Engineer related Bachelor’s Degree.
- Possess a Master’s Degree in related field.
- Possesses a “H” Instructor Special Qualification Identifier (SQI).
