Function Note:
PAE is a leader in providing worldwide solutions for base operations, logistics, construction, airfield operations, and personnel placement. PAE is currently seeking a Diver to support an exciting new mission in support of the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Operations.

The Diver will:
· Prepares diving equipment and conducts dives in accordance with OSHA, RPSC, and USAP approved diving regulations.
· Performs underwater construction and maintenance tasks in accordance with above regulations.
· Tasks include footing/piling placement, pipeline assembly, and related installation work.
· Performs underwater salvage work when feasible and within the limits of the above regulations.
· Salvage work includes clean up of debris as part of NSF approved environmental protection programs.
· Collects scientific samples, documents underwater conditions and performs observations for science projects.
· Tends the dives of co-workers as required, and in accordance with RPSC field procedures.
· Advises the Supervisor, Dive Services on job progress, material requirements, and personnel matters.
· Employees and contractors may, in the course of performing their official duties, have access to a wide variety of personal identifiable and sensitive information (PII/SI) electronically and in hard copy.Personal and sensitive data including Social Security numbers, date and place of birth, demographic data, home addresses/telephone numbers/personal email addresses, passport numbers, bank account numbers, performance reviews, reviewer identity tied to performance reviews, unfunded proposals, proprietary parts of funded proposals, and other similar information should be protected according to Federal regulations and United States Antarctic Program policy, and only disclosed in accordance
Requirement Note:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Nationally recognized SCUBA certification, and CPR/First Aid certification is required
Minimum four years of commercial and/or scientific diving experience, including diversified skills in underwater construction/salvage or scientific diving work is required.
Experience in high latitude or polar waters preferred.
Must be familiar with all types diving equipment and underwater construction tools, materials, and techniques
